MARQUETTE AREA SISTER CITY PARTNERSHIP TO SELECT JAPAN DELEGATES

Marquette area residents interested in visiting Marquette’s Japanese Sister City of Higashiomi this
year should contact Paulette Lindberg, Vice Chair of the Marquette Area Sister Cities Partnership or
stop by the Marquette Arts and Culture Center in the lower level of the Peter White Public Library
for a paper application.

A 10-person delegation will depart from Marquette on Oct. 26 for a 10-night visit, returning on Nov.
6. The trip cost is $2,600. This is the 38th year of Marquette’s Sister City relationship with Japan.
Five public meetings will be held to help educate future delegates and prepare them for travel to
Japan. The first two are scheduled for April 27 and May 13 in the Peter White Public Library.

For more information, contact Paulette Lindberg by phone at 228-6459 or 869-4141 or by emailing
paulettelindberg@gmail.com.
