NOMINATING PETITIONS AVAILABLE FOR CITY ELECTIVE OFFICES

The Marquette City Clerk’s Office is accepting nominations for the City elective offices which will
be filled this year. There will be three vacancies on the Marquette City Commission, and two
vacancies on the Marquette Board of Light and Power. Packets containing nominating petition forms,
the required certificates, and information sheets are available in the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall,
300 W. Baraga Ave. in Marquette.

The deadline for filing nominating petitions is 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25. To be eligible to run for
office in the City, candidates must have been residents of the City for at least one year, and must not
be in debt to the City.
