Beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, May 1 Spring Street from Seventh Street to the west end will be
closed to allow for the reconstruction of the street and underground utilities. This is the first
phase of the Local Streets portion of the Marquette Hospital Transportation Improvements
Project. This phase is scheduled to be substantially complete by the end of May.
The Seventh Street intersection will be closed to through traffic. This will result in no through
traffic along Seventh Street from Baraga Avenue to Washington Street and no through traffic
along Spring Street from Altamont Street to Seventh Street.
The public is advised to use caution when traveling through this area and to be alert for
construction, detour and advisory signing. Pedestrian access will be maintained as much as
possible for the residents in this area.
A phasing schematic can be accessed at the City of Marquette web site under the Marquette
Hospital Transportation Improvements Project link at www.mqtcty.org.
Bacco Construction Company is the general contractor for this project.
