Beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 9, the intersection of Grove Street, Homestead and Anderson Streets will experience traffic disruptions for the start of Stage 4 construction work. This stage of the US 41 portion of the Marquette Hospital Transportation Improvements Project will involve traffic shifts and temporary stoppages at this intersection. This stage is scheduled to be substantially complete in two weeks.
Seventh Street will still be closed to through traffic off US 41 for this stage. The temporary roadway at Homestead Street will be open to allow traffic to access Grove Street and the other local streets in that area. The temporary traffic signal will still be set up for the temporary roadway to allow cross traffic to enter US 41. The public is advised to use caution when traveling through this area and to be alert for construction, detour and advisory signing.
