The City of Marquette Arts and Culture Center announces its annual pop-up show in conjunction with Northern Michigan University’s “Leisure through the Ages” course, a requirement in the Outdoor Recreation Leadership and Management degree.
Students explore in-depth literature, art, music and dance in relation to leisure, outdoor recreation and nature. This individual project, nature writing/poem, expresses the student’s connection, experience or perspective on or with nature, leisure and outdoor recreation. Their final creative products are a compilation of the students’ learning in the course.
This pop-up exhibit will run from Dec. 7 to 12 with an artist reception held on Thursday, Dec. 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. in conjunction with Superiorland Woodturners reception. The public is invited to attend and refreshments will be provided.
The City of Marquette Arts and Culture Center is located in the lower level of the Peter White Public Library. For more information or questions, please call 228-0472 or email arts-culture@marquettemi.gov.
