Glass not accepted in recycling stream as of Jan. 1

The City of Marquette contracts with Waste Management to haul curbside garbage and recycling within the City limits. All items are then delivered to the Marquette County Solid Waste Management Authority (MCSWMA).

Effective Jan. 1, 2018, the MCSWMA will not be accepting glass as a recyclable item. Please place all glass in your waste cart or bag for disposal. Please visit www.mcswma.com for more information.

Effective Jan. 1, 2018, the Waste Management Transfer Station recycle containers at 910 W. Baraga Ave. will not be accepting glass. The hours available are Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
