Traffic control changes planned in City

The City of Marquette recently underwent a study that was conducted by both Johnson Controls and DLZ, in an effort for long-term energy savings, in addition to efficiency in vehicular traffic.

As a result, the City will be implementing the following changes, beginning this month:

  1. Left-turn arrow signals at Lincoln and West Washington, both east and west
  2. Left-turn arrow signals at West Washington and McClellan in all directions
  3. Directional traffic signals at North McClellan and West Ridge
  4. Removal of directional traffic signals at North Front and Hewitt, to be replaced with a four-way stop.
