Lakeview Arena will be closed August 13, 14 & 15, due to the power being shutoff in the building. Contractors will be installing new primary lines as part of the City’s energy upgrade project. All programing in the facility will be cancelled during this time. The Community Services – Parks & Recreation office will also be closed. Construction at Founders Landing has started for the new pier project. Effective immediately, the boardwalk at Founders Landing and the City multi-use path between Spring Street and the trail intersection near the Lakeshore Boulevard and US 41 intersection will be closed to through traffic. The closure is required to accommodate construction work on the City South Pier project and for building construction at the Two Marquette Place development.![]()

Multi-use path traffic will be detoured around this area by means of the sidewalk along Front Street/US 41. The closure and detour are expected to remain in effect until the end of the 2021 construction season.![]()
