Please consider helping the City of Marquette earn another League of American Bicyclists' (LAB) award as a Bicycle Friendly Community, by taking a survey that will be used as part of our application evaluation. See the link below, in the message from the Leauge. Marquette is one of four Michigan communities to have achieved the Silver level BFC award. Also, you will find attached the Bicycle Routes Plan that was adopted in December as part of the Community Master Plan update. City staff is developing an implementation plan for establishing several signed/marked bicycle routes on city streets, with work set to begin this spring and summer.

Thank you for applying to have Marquette recognized as a Bicycle Friendly Community!
Now that the Spring 2019 application deadline has passed, the BFC review process is officially underway. We look forward to working with you in the coming months as we review your community's application materials.
To help us gain a better understanding of local bicyclists' experiences in your community, we would greatly appreciate your help distributing the following public survey link so that bicyclists in your community can provide their input as well.
Public Survey Link: www.surveymonkey.com/r/app_BFC_SP19
The survey will remain open through Sunday, March 24, 2019.
This survey is open to anyone familiar with bicycling in your community, including those involved in submitting your BFC application. (Everyone receiving this email is encouraged to complete the survey and to share it broadly!) While strongly encouraged, distributing this survey link is not required. Your community will not be judged on the number of responses received.
This survey is meant to provide context for our review team's decision-making process, as well as valuable feedback for you directly from bicyclists in your community. Anonymous aggregate survey results will be included in your feedback materials later this Spring.
Award results will be announced in May, and we will inform applicants of their community's results 1-2 weeks before the public announcement is made. ... See MoreSee Less
