Oct. 1 BZA Meeting: Participation Details

The Board of Zoning Appeals meeting will be held virtually with Board members and Staff attending remotely through Zoom video conferencing. This meeting will be streamed on the City of Marquette YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/CityofMarquetteGov). Please note that the
livestreams will have at least a 20 second delay.

Public Participation
There will be three options for public participation in this meeting: video conferencing, phone conferencing, or written comment. There will be three public comment periods for the meeting, one at the beginning, one during the public hearing, and one at the end. Comments will be limited to three
minutes and speakers must give their name and address.

Members of the public wishing to make a video comment will need to visit
https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85648384458. Members of the public wishing to call in and make a comment over the phone will need to call 312-626-6799 and enter the meeting ID (856 4838 4458).

When participating via video or phone conferencing, you will be placed into a virtual lobby/on-hold until the Public Comment portions of the meetings are reached. Once Public Comment begins, the Chair will go through each person waiting in the lobby one at a time and provide them with the opportunity to address the Board. It is recommended that participants follow the meeting on YouTube to know when the Public Comment portion is occurring and be ready to make their comment.

The video and phone conference lobby will open at 6:50 p.m. on October 1, 2020. Written comments can be submitted by emailing alanders@marquettemi.gov. Written submissions will be accepted until 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1.

A reminder to all citizens and visitors in the City of Marquette that the Winter Parking Ban will begin on November 1st and will be in effect until April 1st.
There is No Parking on Any City Street between the hours of 1:00 am and 6:00 am. The Winter Parking Ban carries a fine of $75.00 and a vehicle could also be towed if it is impeding snow removal efforts by the plow crews.
Vehicle owners should be making off-street parking arrangements for their vehicle for the winter season as soon as possible.
Cooperation by everyone will make it easier for the plow crews to do their job and make the roads safer for all motorists.

The Marquette Police Department will begin fingerprint services on Tuesday, October 20th, 2020. Appointments will be required and can be scheduled by visiting the link below. This will be done on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9am to 12pm. Those requesting fingerprints will be asked a series of health questions prior to entering the police department, individuals will be required to wear a mask or face covering, and their temperature will be taken at the time of entry.

Reminder that only exact cash or checks will be accepted for payment on fingerprinting services.
