Brandon Cory has been hired as a Firefighter effective Oct. 12, 2020. Prior to being hired by the Marquette City Fire Department, Brandon was employed as a Paramedic for UPHS Marquette and has been a Fire Department Ladder Lieutenant for the City of Negaunee. He obtained his Associate’s degree in Applied Science in Paramedic from Bay de Noc Community College and attended NMU for Athletic Training. Welcome, Brandon!

The City’s Motor Pool Department is comprised of seven full-time mechanics. They are responsible for providing high-quality, cost-effective, and sustainable fleet management and maintenance services to all city departments. This includes managing a fleet of city vehicles such as pickup trucks, heavy equipment, police vehicles, and fire trucks. The department is responsible for asset management, maintenance and repairs, fueling services, vehicle acquisitions and dispositions, equipment specifications, and alternative fuel programs. They also provide fire truck and emergency vehicle maintenance services to several nearby townships that do not have full-time mechanics on staff.
