Nov. 9 City Commission meeting: Participation Details

The Nov. 9 City Commission meeting will be held without the public in physical attendance. The public is invited to view and participate in the meeting electronically.

The meeting will be streamed on Channel 191 and YouTube starting at 7 p.m. The YouTube channel is located at www.youtube.com/user/CityofMarquetteGov. Please note that the livestreams may have at least a 20 second delay.

Public Participation
There will be two options for public participation in the meetings: phone conferencing or written comment. There will be two public comment periods during each meeting, one at the beginning and one at the end. Comments will be limited to three minutes and speakers must give their name and address.

Written comments will be limited to 500 words. Written comments can be submitted directly to shobbins@marquettemi.gov, written submissions will be accepted until 12 p.m. on Monday, November 9.

Nov. 12 Arts and Culture meeting: Participation Details

The City of Marquette Arts and Culture Advisory Committee will hold their regular meeting Thursday November 12, 2020 at 5:30 p.m. Due to Executive Order 2020-21, this meeting will be held virtually with Commission members and Staff attending remotely through Zoom video conferencing.

Public Participation
There will be three options for public participation in this meeting: video conferencing, phone conferencing or written comment. There will be one public comment period at the beginning of the meeting. Comments will be limited to three minutes and speakers must give their name and address. Written comments will be limited to 500 words.

When participating via video or phone conferencing, you will be placed into a virtual lobby/on-hold until the Public Comment portions of the meetings are reached. Once Public Comment begins, the Chair will go through each person waiting in the lobby one at a time and provide them with the opportunity to address the Commission. The video and phone conference lobby will open 10 minutes before the scheduled meeting start time.

The Marquette Public Art Commission will hold their regular meeting Wednesday November 11, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. Due to Executive Order 2020-21, this meeting will be held virtually with Commission members and Staff attending remotely through Zoom video conferencing.

Nov. 10 Planning Commission meeting: Participation Details

The November 10 Planning Commission meeting will be held virtually with Commission members and Staff attending remotely through Zoom video conferencing. The only agenda item for the meeting is a work session on potential amendments to the Land Development Code.

This meeting will be streamed on the City of Marquette YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/CityofMarquetteGov). Please note that the YouTube livestream will have at least a 20 second delay.

Public Participation
There will be three options for public participation in this meeting: video conferencing, phone conferencing, or written comment. There will be three public comment periods for the meeting, one at the beginning, one during the public hearing request, and one at the end. Comments will be limited to three minutes and speakers must give their name and address.

The video and phone conference lobby will open at 5:50 p.m. on November 10, 2020. Once Public Comment begins, the Chair will go through each person waiting in the lobby one at a time and provide them with the opportunity to address the Commission. It is recommended that participants follow the meeting on YouTube to know when the Public Comment portion is occurring and be ready to make their comment.

Manager Office Hours canceled

Marquette City Manager community office hours on Wednesday, November 11, has been canceled. The next community office hours will be held on Wednesday, December 9, from 10 a.m. to noon in the Dandelion Cottage room, located on the first floor off of the Huron Mountain Gallery of the Peter White Public Library.
