January 14 Arts and Culture Advisory Committee Meeting: Participation Details

The City of Marquette Arts and Culture Advisory Committee will hold their regular meeting Thursday January 14, 2021 at 5:30pm. Due to Executive Order 2020-21, this meeting will be held virtually with Commission members and Staff attending remotely through Zoom video conferencing.

Public Participation

There will be three options for public participation in this meeting: video conferencing, phone conferencing or written comment. There will be one public comment period at the beginning of the meeting. Comments will be limited to three minutes and speakers must give their name and address.

Members of the public wishing to make a video comment will need to visit  https://zoom.us/ on a computer or smart device that has a camera.

Members of the public wishing to call in and make a comment over the phone will need to call 312-626-6799 and enter the meeting ID 864 5087 6361 Passcode: 593972

When participating via video or phone conferencing, you will be placed into a virtual lobby/on-hold until the Public Comment portions of the meetings are reached. Once Public Comment begins, the Chair will go through each person waiting in the lobby one at a time and provide them with the opportunity to address the Commission. The video and phone conference lobby will open 10 minutes before the scheduled meeting start time.

Written comments will be limited to 500 word. Written comments can be submitted to Tiina Morin, Arts and Culture Manager at tmorin@marquettemi.gov. Written submissions will be accepted until 4 p.m. on the day of the meeting.

January 14 Ad-Hoc Housing Committee Special Meeting: Participation Details

The Ad Hoc Housing Committee will hold a special meeting on Thursday, January 14, 2021 in order to consider the adoption of a report to be presented to the Marquette City Commission. The meeting will be held virtually, with board members and Staff attending remotely. This meeting will be streamed on the City of Marquette YouTube channel, at https://www.marquettemi.gov/alternatestream. Please note that the YouTube livestream will have at least a 20 second delay, and that anyone that wishes to offer public comment via Zoom (directions are provided below) will need to open the livestream to follow along while they wait to enter the meeting.

Public Participation

There will be two public comment periods for the meeting, one near the beginning of the agenda and one at the end. Once Public Comment begins, the chair will go through each person waiting in the lobby, providing the opportunity to address the full board. It is recommended participants follow the along on YouTube to know when the Public Comment portion is nearing, and to be ready to comment.

The Marquette Public Art Commission hold their regular meeting Wednesday January 13, 2021 at 6:30pm. Due to Executive Order 2020-21, this meeting will be held virtually with Commission members and Staff attending remotely through Zoom video conferencing.
