Kyle Rose has been hired by the City as a Water/WWTP Operator effective Jan. 11. He completed an internship at the City’s Wastewater Treatment Plant this past spring prior to obtaining his Associate’s degree in Water Resource Management from Bay de Noc Community College. Most recently, Kyle worked for the Ozawa Casino in Petoskey as a Water and Wastewater Technician. Welcome, Kyle!

Scott Dietrich has joined the City of Marquette staff as Water/WWTP Operator effective Jan. 4, 2021. Prior to the City of Marquette, Scott was employed as a Utility Systems Repairer Operator for the USDA ARS Beltsville Agricultural Research Center in Beltsville, Maryland. Scott hails from Kalkaska, Michigan but has ties to Marquette from when he obtained his Bachelor’s of Science in Outdoor Recreation Leadership and Management from NMU in 2013. Welcome, Scott!

Taylor Hedmark has been hired as IT Specialist II effective Dec. 28. Taylor obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Michigan Tech. University where he worked in the IT Department providing help desk support to all campus users. Taylor interned with CCI Systems out of Iron Mountain last summer as well. Welcome, Taylor!

Patrick Chartier has successfully promoted to Patrol Officer with an appointment effective Jan. 11, 2021. Patrick was hired by the City as a Clerical Dispatcher in August 2017 and attended and graduated from the
Marquette Regional Police Academy this past September. Prior to joining the staff at the City, Patrick was employed as a Passenger Service Supervisor for Delta Airlines. Congratulations, Officer Chartier!

Dalton Just has been promoted to the position of Special Equipment Operator/Sewer Maintenance for the Public Works Department effective Jan. 18. Dalton was hired as a Heavy Equipment Operator with the City in October 2017 after having worked as a part-time Facilities Maintenance laborer for the City since 2011. Congratulations, Dalton!
