The City of Marquette Arts & Culture Division is currently accepting funding requests for Art Week 2021 events and activities, Monday, June 21 through Saturday, June 26. Art Week kicks off the summer event season, inviting local artists, organizations, and businesses to come together and collaborate on a series of arts and cultural programming, including; concerts, workshops, performances, demonstrations, exhibits and installations, and more. This year’s theme is RECONNECTING Through the Arts. While it is not required, it is strongly encouraged that proposed events connect to and play off this theme. In addition, events must take place outdoors, allow for appropriate social distancing, and be free and open to the public.
Funding requests can be submitted via an online form: https://bit.ly/3cZQHf5
Individuals, organizations, and businesses are all welcome to apply. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 16; applicants will be notified the following week. More information about this year’s Art Week, including a full schedule of events, will be released later this Spring.
