New Glass Recycle Drop Off Location

A glass recycle drop off container has been placed behind the Waste Management Transfer Station located at 910 W. Baraga Avenue. City of Marquette residents may drop off recyclable glass during open business hours, Monday – Friday 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. They are closed 11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. for lunch.

Curbside glass only recycle collection is being conducted the first full collection week of each month. Please place your glass in a hard-walled container next to your garbage and it will be collected on your scheduled pick up day. Recycle not placed in a hard-walled container will not be collected. Mixed recycle will not be collected.

No other recyclables will be collected that week. The remainder of the month will be dedicated to the single stream recycle collection only. A glass collection schedule is available on the City of Marquette website www.marquettemi.gov  and container stickers may be picked up at the Municipal Service Center, 1100 Wright Street and City Hall, 300 W. Baraga Avenue.

Garbage collection schedule and times remain the same.
