Hewitt Avenue and Pine Street Reconstruction Phase 2

Beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 10th, 2021, Pine Street between Hewitt Avenue and Prospect Street will be closed to through traffic.  This is the beginning of phase two of a three phase project to replace utilities and reconstruct Hewitt Avenue (Spruce to Pine) and Pine Street (Hewitt to Prospect).  Work on this phase is expected to last five weeks.

A detour route will be provided.  The public is advised to use caution when traveling through this area and to be alert for construction, detour, and advisory signing.

Project plans can be accessed at the City of Marquette Engineering website under the Hewitt Ave., Pine St., Front St., College Ave., Project link.

Smith Construction is the general contractor for this project.

The City of Marquette asks for your patience during the construction process.
