Water Meter Replacement Program

The 2017 water meter upgrade between the City of Marquette and Johnson Controls, Inc. (JCI) requires a random sample of meters to be tested to confirm their accuracy. A select number of residents were chosen to participate in this exchange.

A letter was mailed to these select residents requesting an appointment be made with M.E. Simpson Company, contracted by JCI. A follow up postcard was also sent requesting an appointment. In error, the postcard states “All residential water meters in the city are to be replaced.” This is incorrect. The program requires sixty-three meters to be replaced and tested.

We apologize for the confusion this my have caused.
