Dale Daugherty has been hired as a Water/Wastewater Treatment Operator effective Aug. 23. Dale has worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Eagle Mine and an Operator for Neenah Paper. Welcome, Dale!

The City of Marquette Finance Department welcomes Janell Irie as the new Utility Billing Clerk as of Aug. 16. Janell has worked for the City of Manistique in various positions including utility billing and most recently worked for Longyear as an accountant. Welcome, Janell!

Water Supervisor Jim MacDonald has announced his retirement effective Oct. 15. Jim was hired by the City as Relief Operator at the Water Treatment Plant in 1982. He was promoted to his current position as Supervisor in 1996. The City would like to extend best wishes to Jim after 37 years of public service.

Facilities Maintenance Mechanic Barry Just retired effective Thursday, Sept. 9th. Barry was originally hired by the City as a Heavy Equipment Operator in the Parks Department in February of 2002. Congratulations, Barry!
