Alex is a Marquette Senior High alum with a welding certification from Northern Michigan University.
Alex has been a tire technician, equipment mechanic at Payne and Dolan and most recently an equipment
mechanic at Midway Rentals and Sales. Welcome, Alex!

Would you like to make a difference in the lives of our senior citizens? The City of Marquette has two part-time positions available for a Homemaker Aide with the Marquette Senior Center. Homemaker Aides play a vital role in helping seniors maintain their independence and remain in their own home. Candidates accepting this position will create a set schedule determining the days and hours they want to work (Monday through Friday). No nights, weekends, or holidays. The hours can range from 12-29 hours per week, based off the candidate’s preference. The hiring rate is $12.22/hr. with step increases. Paid time off after 90-day probationary period. Holiday pay available after candidate works 1,000 hours in a calendar year (January-December). The duties include housekeeping services and occasional errands for multiple seniors. Must be capable of meeting physical demands of job and applicants must have a valid Michigan driver’s license and a reliable vehicle. Mileage is reimbursed.
