Beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, May 5, 2025, work will begin on a city-wide sidewalk repair project.

This project will include the repair of trip hazards, ADA compliance improvements, and the abandonment of coal bunkers under the sidewalk at the northeast corner of Washington Street and Third Street. Temporary lane shifts and parking disruptions will be required to complete this project. Sidewalk removal areas will be clearly marked with construction cones to warn pedestrians. Impacted businessowners and homeowners will be individually notified by the contractor.

Associated Constructors is the general contractor for this project.

Please take caution when traveling through construction areas and to be alert for advisory signage

The Presque Isle Park loop will open May 2 to vehicular traffic for the 2025 season. However, the loop will close at 6 p.m. daily until May 15, 2025, or until the blue spotted salamander migration has concluded.
