Aug. 11 PC Meeting: Participation Details

The Aug. 11 Planning Commission meeting will be held virtually with Commission members and Staff attending remotely through Zoom video conferencing. The only agenda item for the meeting is a work session on potential amendments to the Land Development Code.

The meeting will stream on the City’s YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/user/CityofMarquetteGov). Please note that the YouTube livestream will have at least a 20 second delay.

Public Participation
There will be three options for public participation in this meeting: video conferencing, phone conferencing, or written comment. There will be three public comment periods for the meeting, one at the beginning, one during the public hearing request, and one at the end. Comments will be limited to three minutes and speakers must give their name and address.

City Manager office hours canceled for August

Marquette City Manager community office hours on Wednesday, Aug. 12, has been canceled. The next community office hours will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 9, from 10 a.m. to noon in the Dandelion Cottage room, located on the first floor off the Huron Mountain Gallery of the Peter White Public Library.

City Commission special meeting planned to follow infrastructure tour

The Marquette City Commission will be participating in a tour of the streets and infrastructure in need of repairs on Wednesday, July 8, at 5:30 p.m. No official business of the City will be conducted during the tour.

The tour will be followed by a special Commission meeting, originally scheduled as a work session, in City Hall, Commission Chambers, at 6:30 p.m.
