July 13 City Commission Work Session and Regular Meeting Participation

Due to Executive Orders issued from the Office of the Governor, the work session and regular meeting will be held without the public in physical attendance. The public is invited to view and participate in the meeting electronically.

The work session will be streamed on the City of Marquette YouTube channel starting at 5:15 p.m. and the regular meeting will be streamed on Channel 191 and YouTube starting at 6 p.m. The YouTube channel is located at www.youtube.com/user/CityofMarquetteGov. Please note that the livestreams will have at least a 20 second delay.

Public Participation

There will be two options for public participation in the meetings: phone conferencing or written comment.  There will be two public comment periods during each meeting, one at the beginning and one at the end. Comments will be limited to three minutes and speakers must give their name and address.

Written comments will be limited to 500 words. Written comments can be submitted directly to shobbins@marquettemi.gov, written submissions will be accepted until 12 p.m. on Monday, July 13.

City Commission special meeting planned to follow infrastructure tour

The Marquette City Commission will be participating in a tour of the streets and infrastructure in need of repairs on Wednesday, July 8, at 5:30 p.m. No official business of the City will be conducted during the tour.

The tour will be followed by a special Commission meeting, originally scheduled as a work session, in City Hall, Commission Chambers, at 6:30 p.m.

The July 7 Planning Commission meeting will be held virtually with Commission members and Staff attending remotely through Zoom video conferencing.

This meeting will begin at 6 p.m. and will be streamed on the City of Marquette YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/CityofMarquetteGov). Please note that the YouTube livestream will have at least a 20 second delay.

Public Participation

July, August office hours canceled

Marquette City Manager community office hours on July 8 and August 12, have been canceled. The next community office hours will be held on Wednesday, September 9, from 10 a.m. to noon in the Dandelion Cottage room, located on the first floor off of the Huron Mountain Gallery of the Peter White Public Library.
