Residential Garbage/Recycling Cart Distribution Update

Delivery of garbage and recycle carts ordered by residents began Tuesday, January 30. They are continuing to be placed curbside in front of the home throughout the City of Marquette.

Carts with yellow lids are to be used for the dual stream recycling program; carts with green lids are to be used for trash only. The size of the garbage cart being provided to each home was elected on the order form supplied to the City.

Please try to place carts curbside or in the nearest opening to allow drivers to access them safely and efficiently.

For those residents switching to the cart program, your monthly solid waste fee will be updated starting with the February 2018 billing. The collection schedule remains the same. Please begin using them immediately.
