Marquette's next Citizens Academy will be held in Fall 2025

Participants will meet once weekly at a City building for presentations and tours of City functions. There will be a different guest each week to present on their work in the City. At the end of the 10 week program, there will be a graduation ceremony at a City Commission meeting.

Presentations

Learn from the people working in the City about how the City works! Receive special presentations and materials about the inner workings of Marquette's City government.

Special Guests

Enjoy presentations by City staff including members of the City Commission, the City Manager, the City Clerk, and more!

Graduation

After attending all sessions, participants will get to graduate at a City Commission meeting in the fall!

Availability
There will be 10 total sessions of the Citizens Academy starting August 20th. Sessions will be weekly on Wednesdays at 5:30 and last around 1.5-2 hours. Are you able to commit to attending at least 8 of the 10 total sessions?

Photo Release
Photographs may be taken during the Marquette Citizens Academy sessions and may be used in Marquette's printed and electronic promotional materials. Do you give the City of Marquette permission to use photos of you?
