On Friday May 20, from 6:00am to 8:00am, the westbound lane in front of 136 West Washington Street will be closed for construction activities. Flag control will be used to direct traffic around the closure area.
The public is advised to use caution when traveling through this area and to be alert for construction and advisory signing.
The Peter White Public Library’s regularly scheduled Board of Trustees Meeting, on May 17,2022 has been postponed until further notice.
The Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee (PRAB) meeting scheduled for May 16, 2022 has been canceled due to lack of quorum.
Beginning Monday, May 9, 2022 the city of Marquette Water Department will be flushing water mains until approximately Tuesday, June 1, 2022. Residents may experience cloudy water and minimal water disruptions during this time. Please let the water run until it is clear prior to usage.
Marquette City Manager Karen Kovacs will hold her next community office hours on Wednesday, May 11 from 10 a.m. to noon in the main floor conference room of the Peter White Public Library. The meeting is intended to provide an informal opportunity to discuss issues within the community, and to give citizens the opportunity for direct dialogue with City staff about interests and concerns.
The 800 block of Pine Street will be closed to through traffic Thursday, May 5 at 7 a.m. for water service and sewer repair. The project is expected to be completed by end of the day.
Beginning at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 5 Fisher Street between South 3rd Street and South Front Street will be closed. Due to this Closure Champion Street will also be closed and a detour will be set up for through traffic utilizing Blemhuber Avenue and Altamont Street.
The maintenance project is estimated to last approximately three days and will only be closed 9 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
