Yard and Campaign Sign Placement Reminder

As the Nov. 8 General Election approaches there has been an increase in yard signs being placed on both private property and in the right-of-way around the City.

As a reminder to residents, the City’s regulations regarding yard signs are as follows:

Residents may place up to four non-commercial yard signs – not to exceed 24 square feet in total area – on their private property.

Residents are not permitted to place signs in the right-of-way, and these signs will be removed.

In addition, signs related to the parties, candidates or proposals on the Nov. 8 ballot are considered campaign materials under state law and are not permitted within 100 feet of any entrance to a polling location.
