Parking Lot Closure for Dead River Mouth Dredging Project

Beginning on Monday February 26K&M Industrial will be working near the mouth of the Dead River to dredge sand that has accumulated in the area. The sand materials will be beneficially reused to reroute the river channel, as well as for shoreline restoration at various locations to the south of the river. The city parking lot just north of the Dead River will be closed to the public during the project. This parking lot as well as an area north of Clark Lambros beach, will be utilized for staging materials and equipment. The project is anticipated to be completed by November 30, 2024.

The public is advised to pay attention to warning signage and keep a safe distance from any work occurring in the area.
