McClellan Ave./M553 Multi-Use Path Closure

On Monday, July 15, beginning at 7:00 a.m., the multi-use path along McClellan Avenue/M553 between Pioneer Road and Division Street will be closed for sanitary sewer main installation. The closure is anticipated to last through the end of the day on Friday July 19.
The public is advised to take caution when traveling through this area and to be alert for construction and advisory signing.

Michigan Street Closure

On Monday, July 15, 2024, beginning at 7:00 a.m., Michigan Street will be closed to thru traffic between Third Street and Front Street for concrete work being completed at 424 North Third Street. The road is anticipated to be reopened by 12:00 p.m. Access to residences on Michigan Street will be maintained via Front Street.

The public is advised to take caution when traveling through this area and to be alert for construction and advisory signing.   

Community Open House/Presentation for Parks and Recreation 5-Year Master Plan

The community is invited to participate in two open house events with Parks and Recreation Consultant Richard Horton:

The Wednesday event will be an interactive drop-in style open house with opportunities to share priorities and preferences in our parks. The Thursday event will be a presentation by Mr. Horton. Both events will provide community members an opportunity to speak with the consultant, receive information, see outcomes from stakeholder meetings, comment

Marquette City Manager Community Office Hours

Marquette City Manager Karen Kovacs will hold her next community office hours on Wednesday, July 10 from 10 a.m. to noon in the Shiras Room, on the top level of Peter White Public Library (Front Street side). The meeting is intended to provide an informal opportunity to discuss issues within the community, and to give citizens the opportunity for direct dialogue with City staff about interests and concerns.

JULY 9, 2024 – COMMONS PARKING LOT CLOSED

On Tuesday, July 9, 2024, the Commons Parking Lot will be closed for sweeping and line striping. Overnight Permit parkers are asked to park in the South Main Lot or Upper Bluff Ramp overnight on Monday July 8th , as the work will begin at 6 a.m. on Tuesday. Please plan accordingly.
