New Public Gallery Program Exhibits

The galleries within the walls of Peter White Public Library welcome new exhibits for the months of February and March. On Thursday February 13th, 6:00-8:00pm, the Peter White Public Library and the City of Marquette Office of Arts and Culture invite the community to an evening of art and community connection. The reception features light refreshments, artist talks, and various art activities. Receptions are free and open to the public. Exhibits are accessible during regular Library hours and will be on display through the end of March.

EXHIBITS:
Deo Gallery (Lower Level):Second Nature by Emily Weddle and Meredith Weddle D’Amore
Mixed Media - An engaging exploration of the intersection of artmaking and motherhood through the artworks of identical twin sisters.
Artist Talk at 7:00pm

Huron Mountain Club Gallery (Main floor): Knowing the Land by Todd Carter
Acrylic on Canvas - Pictorial maps and paintings inspired by the artist’s deep connection to the Upper Peninsula wilderness
Artist Talk at 6:30pm

Receptions are generously made possible by Friends of PWPL. The Huron Mountain Club Gallery is located on the main level of PWPL. The Deo Gallery is located in the lower level of the PWPL in the City’s Arts & Culture Center; it is supported by the Lake Superior Art Association.
