Beginning Monday, February 24, through Thursday, February 27, the Marquette Board of Light and Power will be conducting utility line clearance on the south side of Tourist Park Campground. Dog park users are asked to exercise caution while in the area. For your safety and the safety of employees and contractors, please do not approach crews while they are working. The tasks that they perform put them near energized equipment where the outmost focus and concentration is necessary

Approximately 456 homes remain without power as MBLP crews continue restoration efforts. MBLP crews are in the field working through difficult conditions, including downed trees, ice, wind, broken poles, and snow drifts.![]()

The American Red Cross has set up an emergency overnight warming shelter in Baraga Gym for those impacted by the blizzard power outages. To access the shelter use the entrance at the Marquette Police Department and follow signage to the gym.
