City of Marquette Halloween Schedule and Tips

Halloween Trick-or-Treating in the City of Marquette is scheduled for Friday, October 31, 2025. The recommended hours to be observed for Trick-or-Treating are from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Motorists, please anticipate heavy pedestrian traffic during this time; be extra cautious when entering and exiting driveways. We recommend turning on headlights earlier in the day and driving slowly through neighborhoods.

For the children's safety, parents are encouraged to accompany them while trick-or-treating and share the following tips:

• Stay Visible: Add glow sticks, flashlights, or reflective tape to costumes and bags.

• Stick Together: Trick-or-treat in groups and keep an adult with young kids.

• Choose Safe Routes: Use sidewalks and stay in well-lit areas.

• Double-Check Costumes: Make sure they fit well—no tripping hazards!

• Cross Streets Safely: Always use crosswalks and look both ways.

• Inspect Treats: Wait until you’re home to check candy before eating.

• Be Alert: Watch for cars, especially near driveways and intersections.

• Keep Phones Handy: Stay connected with family or friends.

• Drive Carefully: Slow down and stay alert—kids can be hard to see!

• Plan Ahead: Set a route and curfew for older trick-or-treaters.

• Pet Safety: Keep pets indoors to prevent them from getting scared or running off
