December 8 DDA informational meeting announcement

The Marquette Downtown Development Authority will be making an informational presentation at the December 8, 2025 regular meeting of the Marquette City Commission. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the Commission Chambers inside of Marquette City Hall, 300 W. Baraga Ave, Marquette, MI 49855. The purpose of this presentation is to inform the City Commissioners, taxing jurisdictions, and the general public of the Authority’s accomplishments of the past year and the goals and projects to be undertaken in the coming year.

Pursuant to Michigan Public Act 57 of 2018, this presentation will fulfill the first of two informational meeting requirements for the 2025 calendar year

December DDA meeting announcement

A regular meeting of the Marquette Downtown Development Authority Board of Directors will be held Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the Tree House, located inside of Donckers, 137 W. Washington St. in downtown Marquette. The meeting is open to the public and free to attend.

Public Participation
There will be two options for public participation in this meeting: in person or written. Written comments can be submitted by emailing tara@downtownmarquette.org. Written submissions will be accepted until 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2025

The meeting will begin at 8:00 a.m. at the Tree House, located inside of Donckers, 137 W. Washington St. in downtown Marquette. The purpose of this presentation is to inform the Board, taxing jurisdictions, and the general public of the Authority’s accomplishments of the past year and the goals and projects to be undertaken in the coming year.

Pursuant to Michigan Public Act 57 of 2018, this presentation will fulfill the second of two informational meeting requirements for the 2025 calendar year

City of Marquette offices closed for Thanksgiving

City offices located at Marquette City Hall, 300 W. Baraga Avenue; the Lakeview Arena, 401 E. Fair Avenue; and the Municipal Service Center, 1100 Wright Street, will be closed November 26-28, in observance of Thanksgiving. Marquette Police, Fire, and Public Works and Utilities will remain operational during this time.

There will be no change in garbage pickup for City residents.
