The regular meeting of the Fire & Police Pension Board scheduled for July 23, 2024 has been canceled
Beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, July 22, 2024, Cross General Contracting will
be closing a single lane of the County Road 550 Dead River Bridge so that repairs and maintenance work can be completed. A temporary traffic signal will be installed to allow vehicles to pass through the construction site. The work is expected to last approximately one week.
The public is urged to take caution and follow all traffic control measures.
The Marquette Downtown Development Authority Board of Directors will be holding a special meeting on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 to review the proposed Fiscal Year 2025 budget. The special meeting will take place at the Marquette Commons, 112 South Third Street, beginning at 7:30 a.m.
North Third Street will be closed to vehicular traffic between Arch Street and Ohio Street and again between Park Street and College Avenue from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday July 18, 2024, for the Marquette DDA’s Music on Third Event. Signed detour routes will be provided around the closures.
The City of Marquette Office of Arts & Culture welcomes citizens to nominate deserving members of the community to be considered for the 2024 Annual Art Awards. These awards are offered to recognize and thank citizens and organizations who have demonstrated artistic excellence and/or made significant contributions to the awareness of arts in our community.
Nominations for the 27th Annual Art Awards are being accepted for the following categories: Arts Volunteer, Arts Advocate, Arts Educator, Youth Award, Visual Artist, Performing Artist, Writer, Special Recognition, Arts Organization, and Arts Business.
Nominations are due by Wednesday, July 31.

On Tuesday, July 16, College Ave, between Northrup St. and 8th St. will be closed for a sanitary lateral repair. The project will begin at 7:00 A.M on Tuesday, July 16 is expected to be completed by the end of day Wednesday, July 17.
On Monday, July 15, beginning at 7:00 a.m., the multi-use path along McClellan Avenue/M553 between Pioneer Road and Division Street will be closed for sanitary sewer main installation. The closure is anticipated to last through the end of the day on Friday July 19.
The public is advised to take caution when traveling through this area and to be alert for construction and advisory signing.
The Parks & Recreation Advisory Board (PRAB) meeting scheduled for July 15, 2024 has been canceled. The next scheduled meeting is August 19, 2024.
On Monday, July 15, 2024, beginning at 7:00 a.m., Michigan Street will be closed to thru traffic between Third Street and Front Street for concrete work being completed at 424 North Third Street. The road is anticipated to be reopened by 12:00 p.m. Access to residences on Michigan Street will be maintained via Front Street.
The public is advised to take caution when traveling through this area and to be alert for construction and advisory signing.
On Thursday, July 18, 2024, the North Main Street Parking Lot will be closed for sweeping and line striping. Please plan accordingly.
