On Thursday, February 10, from 6 to 8 p.m., the Peter White Public Library and the City of Marquette Office of Arts and Culture will be hosting the opening receptions for the three art galleries located at the library. The Deo Gallery is part of the City’s Arts & Culture Center, located in the lower level of PWPL; it is curated monthly by the Lake Superior Art Association. The Deo Gallery’s exhibit will be up through March 1. The library galleries’ exhibits will be up until April 1. Receptions are free and open to the public. Masks are required.

The January 18 regular meeting of the Local Development Finance Authority has been rescheduled for Tuesday, January 25 at 4:00 p.m. in room 103 at City Hall, 300 W Baraga Ave., Marquette, MI 49855.
The Board of Zoning Appeals regular meeting on February 3, 2022, has been canceled. The next scheduled meeting will be held on March 3, 2022.
The Harbor Advisory Committee (HAC) meeting scheduled for January 18, 2022 has been cancelled. The next regularly scheduled meeting will be February 15, 2022.
The eastbound side of Grove Street between the Greywalls entrance and Vandenboom Road will be closed to through traffic for a water repair on Tuesday, January 18, beginning at 7:00 a.m. This project is expected to be completed by the end of the day.
Effective immediately and until further notice, the Marquette Senior Center will be requiring masks for all indoor programming and office visits.
Additionally, all Marquette Senior Center Gym programming is canceled until Feb. 3. The gym will still be open for walking, but a mask must be worn.
The location of the January 18, regular meeting of the Local Development Finance Authority has been changed to Room 103 at City Hall, 300 W Baraga Ave., Marquette, MI 49855. The time of the meeting remains at 4:00 p.m.
The following streets will be closed on Saturday, January 22nd from 3:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for the Noquemanon Ski Marathon.
The detour route to access Lakeshore Boulevard from Hawley Street and Wright Street will be Presque Isle Avenue south to Fair Avenue, then Fair Avenue east to Lakeshore Boulevard.
