Mandatory Anti-Harassment Training & Policy

The City is committed to providing a workplace that is free of discriminatory harassment, including sexual harassment, and to educating employees on recognizing and reporting illegal harassment.  To further that end, the City has updated its policies and made arrangements to train all employees on harassment (including sexual harassment) in the workplace.  A copy of the updated Anti-Harassment Policy and Complaint Procedure is attached to this memo along with a new EEO/Title VI Policy. In conjunction with the distribution of these policies, we have arranged for Laura Reilly, of the law firm Kendricks Bordeau Keefe Seavoy & Larsen, to present several training sessions on the topic of illegal harassment and how to prevent and/or report it.

Attendance at one of the training sessions listed below is mandatory for all full-time and regular part-time employees and managers.  Please meet with your supervisor to determine which of the following sessions you will be attending and notify Michelle in Human Resources at 225-8584 so that she can place you on the schedule.  We need to know in advance which session you will be attending so that we can make sure we can evenly distribute employees between the 5 sessions.
