Hurley Park Mural Red Ribbon Cutting - Monday, August 29

The City welcomes Marquette’s first Basketball Court Mural at the Hurley Park Playground, made possible by the City of Marquette’s Public Art Fund. The red ribbon cutting for Fast Break by Detroit based artists Joey Salamon and Ivan Montoya will take place on Monday August 29, 2022, at Noon. The Hurley Park Playground is located on Mesnard Street in Marquette. This is a great opportunity to meet the artists before they head home to Detroit and learn more about this unique addition to Marquette’s Public Art Collection.

The Court will not be available for foot traffic until the mural is sealed later that week.
