Marquette City Manager Karen Kovacs will hold her next community office hours on Wednesday, May 17 from 10 a.m. to noon in the main floor conference room of the Peter White Public Library. The meeting is intended to provide an informal opportunity to discuss issues within the community, and to give citizens the opportunity for direct dialogue with City staff about interests and concerns.
Rescheduled Compost Collection
Due to inclement weather, curbside compost collection will be postponed by one week. Compost collection will begin Monday, May 8 through Friday, May 19. Collection for zones 1-10 will still occur in the same order reflected on the map.
Collection crews will be making an additional sweep through streets Thursday, May 4 and Friday, May 5 to pick up any missed or additional brush from the storm.
Household Rubbish and Compost Site Closure
The City of Marquette Household Rubbish and Compost drop-off site, located at 1415 Pioneer Road, will be closed Tuesday, May 2 and Wednesday, May 3 due to inclement weather.
Regular hours of operation will resume on Monday, May 8.

Due to staff illness and continuing weather issues, Thursday recycling was not completed. Please leave Thursday (Zone 4) recycling on the curb for Friday night collection. The rescheduled Wednesday (zone 3) collection is also still planned for tonight.![]()
