Nov. 10 Planning Commission meeting: Participation Details

The November 10 Planning Commission meeting will be held virtually with Commission members and Staff attending remotely through Zoom video conferencing. The only agenda item for the meeting is a work session on potential amendments to the Land Development Code.

This meeting will be streamed on the City of Marquette YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/CityofMarquetteGov). Please note that the YouTube livestream will have at least a 20 second delay.

Public Participation
There will be three options for public participation in this meeting: video conferencing, phone conferencing, or written comment. There will be three public comment periods for the meeting, one at the beginning, one during the public hearing request, and one at the end. Comments will be limited to three minutes and speakers must give their name and address.

The video and phone conference lobby will open at 5:50 p.m. on November 10, 2020. Once Public Comment begins, the Chair will go through each person waiting in the lobby one at a time and provide them with the opportunity to address the Commission. It is recommended that participants follow the meeting on YouTube to know when the Public Comment portion is occurring and be ready to make their comment.

Manager Office Hours canceled

Marquette City Manager community office hours on Wednesday, November 11, has been canceled. The next community office hours will be held on Wednesday, December 9, from 10 a.m. to noon in the Dandelion Cottage room, located on the first floor off of the Huron Mountain Gallery of the Peter White Public Library.

Electrical line main maintenance planned along multi-use path Oct. 26

Beginning at 7:00 A.M. Monday, October 26th, 2020 the Multiuse path between S McClellan Avenue. and S. 7th Street. will be used to access overhead electrical infrastructure. The public may encounter utility vehicles blocking portions of the path while this maintenance is in progress.
The maintenance project is estimated to last approximately five days. For your safety and the safety of our employees and contractors, please maintain a safe distance from equipment and do not approach crews while they are working. The tasks that they perform put them near energized equipment where the outmost focus and concentration is necessary.
We understand that our activities may cause an inconvenience and want to thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation.

Oct. 27 Police-Fire pension board meeting: participation details

The Oct. 27 Police and Fire Retirement System board meeting will be held electronically, in accordance with Section 3a the Open Meetings Act, in an effort to protect the health and safety of the public.

Due to Executive Orders issued from the Office of the Governor, the October 26 City Commission meeting will be held without the public in physical attendance. The public is invited to view and participate in the meeting electronically.

The meeting will be streamed on Channel 191 and YouTube starting at 6 p.m. The YouTube channel is located at www.youtube.com/user/CityofMarquetteGov. Please note that the livestreams may have at least a 20 second delay.

Public Participation
There will be two options for public participation in the meetings: phone conferencing or written comment. There will be two public comment periods during each meeting, one at the beginning and one at the end. Comments will be limited to three minutes and speakers must give their name and address.
