Center Street will be closed to through traffic for a storm main repair between Wilkinson Avenue and Schaffer Avenue, beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, July 25. This project is expected to be completed by the end of the day on July 26.

In cooperation with the Superior Watershed Partnership and Northern Michigan University Biology Department, the City of Marquette will be closing a portion of Peter White Drive in Presque Isle Park to facilitate the safe migration of the blue-spotted salamander.
The southwest bend of Peter White Drive, from Moosewood Nature Center to the gate north of the pavilion, will close to vehicular traffic daily at 8 p.m. from March 21 to April 30, or until the completion of the migration. Road barricades will be placed and removed daily to prevent vehicular traffic use of the migration area. Foot traffic is permitted in the area during regular park hours.
The Marquette Arts and Culture Advisory Committee will meet on Thursday, February 3 to discuss the City Annual Art Awards. The meeting will be held starting at 5:30 p.m. This meeting will be in-person at the Arts and Culture Center located in the lower level of Peter White Public Library, 217 N. Front Street, Marquette.

There will be one public comment period for the meeting at the beginning of the agenda. Comments are limited to three minutes and speakers must give their name and address before speaking. Written comments will be presented to the Committee during the meeting and can be submitted by emailing tmorin@marquettemi.gov. Written submissions will be accepted until 5pm on Thursday February 3, 2022.
The City of Marquette will co-host an informational meeting with the Noquemanon Trail Network to discuss special events to be held on the NTN South Trails.
This meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 27 in the Citizens Forum at Lakeview Arena.
Officials will address the permitting process, scheduling and conflict resolution. Any group wishing to hold events on the South Trails that charge entry fees are required to attend this meeting.

The City of Marquette has been notified of an upcoming mailing from American Water Resources (AWR) of Michigan, a subsidiary of American Water. This is a utility insurance service similar to those you may have seen with your natural gas provider. The program is offered by AWR.
This is not a City activity, or otherwise a City-initiated or endorsed program. The City of Marquette and City of Marquette Water Utility are not endorsing the program. Resident responsibilities for maintaining water and sewer laterals are outlined in Chapter 48 of the City Code.
